A night with the Ferrari Luce in Coconut Grove.
Buck Vaughan and Chairman Elijah John Bowdre joined friends at a Ferrari Luce evening in Coconut Grove. It set the tone for a week of Miami meetings about public money on new rails.
The car in the room
The Luce is Ferrari's first production electric car and its first five-seat model. It was unveiled on May 25, 2026, near Rome. Four motors make 1,035 horsepower from a 122 kWh, 800-volt battery. Ferrari designed it with Jony Ive and Marc Newson of LoveFrom.
Put simply, one of the most tradition-bound brands in the world rebuilt its core on a new powertrain, and kept everything that makes it a Ferrari.
Why it matters for Miami
That is the same move ahead for municipal finance. Cities already have the rules they need: procurement, audit, disclosure, public records. What's changing is the plumbing underneath.

- Receipts: every permit, bill and payment leaves a record anyone can check.
- Dollars: payments and bond settlement move in seconds through licensed issuers, not days.
